Prof. Petya Yaneva
Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology presented the new project "Developing the capacity of specializing, postdoctoral and young scientist for teaching academic courses in and on a foreign language using current methodologies and ICT" in the Conference Hall on 2nd September.
The project started on 18.07.2013 and its length is 27 months. The funding is BGN 417 795.70. The event was attended by Prof. Anastas Gerzhikov, Vice-Rector, Prof. Teofanov, Dean of the Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty Prof. Vesselinov.
Prof. Yaneva announced the project goal: developing the potential of specializing, postdoctoral and young scientists for teaching academic courses in and on a foreign language using adequate technologies in order to enhance the compatibility, accessibility and effectiveness of Sofia University programmes at national, European and international level. She added that the funding is mainly to support the target groups.
The first target group is 20 specializing, postdoctoral and young scientists from the language faculties and departments. The second is 20 specializing, postdoctoral and young scientists from the other faculties.
Prof. Yaneva elaborated on the specific goals of the project as well, in addition to the expected results of the project and the activities planned. She announced the 10 mobilities of direct beneficiaries, and the information activities including a website of the project and a blog, and the publications to be supported.
Prof. Gerszhikov, the Vice-Rector, noted that there are currently 10 projects under OP Human Resource Development, yet this is the only one to address the postdocs and young specialists' development. Prof. Teofanov, the Dean, added, that there are three important projects undergoing in the Faculty, declaring the support of the Faculty administration.
