Prof. Spasov defined the verdict of the National Assembly as logical, as Sofia University has renowned faculties of Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Physics, etc., which is a prerequisitte for developing this area. The Faculty of Chemistry established a trend of developing Pharmacy through years of research and Master's Degree programmes, as well as through mechanisms to guarantee quality of training of such specialists, needed for both inductry and research in the field. The transformation of the Faculty also lays the foundation of competitive education, which will inevitably lead to higher level of professional development.

The admission starts with 50 places. The lecturers in the programme have excuisite expertise, each one of them being expert with international recognition. The equipment of the upgraded laboratories of three Faculties will be directly involved in the education, as well as all other needed equipment of the University will support indirectly the process.

Applying for the speciality Pharmacy will be based on exams in Chemistry and Biology, as well as the assessment in the Diploma for secondary education in the two subjects. The fees will be determined by the Council of Ministers, but it is not expected to differ significantly from the fees in the field of Welfare.
