An open lecture on "European Union, Russia and the common neighbours" was the first event for the academic 2009/2010 organized by the Student Diplomatic Club, Faculty of Law. The event took place in collaboration with the European Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Economics and International Economic Relations.
The authors of the lecture Niku Popesku and Andrew Wilson highlighted the reasons for the crises in the Eastern neighboirs of the EU, the restrictions for the EU policy, and the struggle for influence of EU and Russia in the region.
The students were very interested in the matter and actively participated by offering opinions, analysis, and asking questions.
