Prof. Andrew Brown shared his experience as a Head of the Doctoral School, University of London, which has been a partner of Sofia University for a long term
The lecture gradually became a discussion dedicated to the possibilities the good practices to be introduced in accordance to Bulgarian legislation. Prof. Brown focused on the relation between the Doctoral Programme, professional development and economy. The Doctoral School is actually a virtual structure with 7 people engaged in the administration.
The European education is based on standards; different curricula leading to concrete qualities in the graduates, who receive both academic and practical skills and knowledge. The tendency for many people, including lecturers, is to invest in their future through such study.
