Prof. Nedyu Popivanov, Vice-Rector, opened the first E-Learning Day at Sofia University on 11th December.
The focus of the scientific event was the promotion of the E-Learning and Distance Learning Strategy of Sofia University, developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roumiana Peytcheva-Forsyth, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reneta Bozhankova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veselin Kovatchev, and Assist. Prof. Eugenia Kovatcheva. The results of the research on the competence matrix of the academic staff of Sofia University attracted a great interest. The programme also included presentation of projects of SU Faculties and Departments in the field of e-learning.
An "E-Learning Journal" is under development, which will present scientific papers in the interdisciplinary field of e-learning. The pilot issue will be available online by the end of the year.
