Donation from Ireland

On the occasion of St Patric's Day, 17th March, HE Jeffrey Keating, Ambassador of Ireland, donates a valuable replica of "Durrow's Gospel"

"Durrow's Gospel" is a 7th century Latin manuscript, regarded as the oldest illustrated Irish Gospel. It was written by monks from Durrow, a twon to the west of Dublin and is one of the treasures kept in Trinity College Library.

The donation will be given out and exposed in the reading room "Studies" where rare and valuable books are kept.
