Official ceremony of awarding Prof. Dr. Michael Spitteler on 26th November. The honorary insignia was given by Prof. Ivan Petkov, Vice-Rector of Sofia University.
Prof. Spitteler was born in Munich. He is best known for his work on risk assessment in toxicology and pesticide pollution. He is one of the best specialists in mass spectrometry today. He is the author of more than 600 papers, articles and monographs.
He has been working with the researchers of the Faculty of Chemistry for many years, being a co-author of more than 120 projects. Another successful initiative of his is the project for collaboration between Sofia University and Institute for Environmental Protection (Dortmund) for the period 2010 -2013.
