Bulgarians won the gold in the international competition for Computer Networking in Bucharest

The Bulgarian school students Stefan Nikolov (National High School for Science and Mathematics), Valentin Galabov and Aleksander Spasov (Technical School for Electronic Systems) won the team first place in the Networking Academy Games 2011. Stoyan Slavchev form Sofia University had an excellent presentation and won the third place as an instructor.

The event took place on 10th and 11th June, 2011 in Bucharest. More than 60 young people, winners of regional national competitions in 9 countries competed in the prestigious games.

Networking Academy Games 2011 is a regional initiative for Central and Eastern Europe which was held for the 6th time. Bulgaria participated for the 5th time and this was the first gold for our teams. The participation was supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, with the support of Mrs. Sylvia Kuncheva, State Expert with the Department Educational Programmes and Contents; with the support of Mrs. Teodora Borisova, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and regional CISCO Academy manager.

„Part of the tasks in the competition were really difficult, but our team managed, thanks to the good preparation, to prove their skills and teamworking", shared the lecturers of the Regional CISCO Academy at Sofia University Zornitsa Yaneva and Dafinka Miteva, leaders of the team and members of the national committee of the competition in Computer Networking in Bulgaria.
