The association after Prof. Veselin Dimitrov' name, who was Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, was established by his students and colleagues.
The main goals of the association are to stimulate and support high professional standards in the electronic media, to encourage the professional development of the students in Journalism, as well as to support the preservation of the media heritage. These were pursued by Prof. Dimitrof during his whole professional life.
Prof. Hristo Kaftandzhiev, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication has been appointed Chair of the Board of Managers of the association; Deputy Chair is Assoc. Prof. Teodora Petrova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication; Secretary is Tanya Simeonova, Director of University Radio Alma Mater.
