8th National Computer Networks Competition for students

The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University hosted the 8th National Computer Networks Competition for students.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University and the Bulgarian Association of Network Academies (BANA).

Sofia Universtity gathered students from different parts of the country for the 8th year in row. Many of the students participate in the network academies around the country, others study the matter at school or individually.

The competition was in two parts: theoretical test and practice.

The winners were chosen after a hot competition:
First came Stefan Nikolaev, National High School of Science and Mathematics. Two students took the second place: Andreya Kostov, Technical School of Electronic Systems and Daniel Borisov, Dimitar Hadjivasilev State High School of Economics - Svishtov.
Two were the third places as well: Eva Angelova, National High School of Science and Mathematics and Deyan Genovski, Technical School of Electronic Systems.

The winners who will apply for the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University would receive the place without an admission test, according to the law. One-year grants will be also given by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.
