The official ceremony of celebrating the jubilee started in the Aula
Acad. Todor Nikolov has Doctoral degrees in Geology and Geology and Mineralogy Sciences, professor of Sofia University, Institute of Geology and guest professor at the Institute of Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He was a corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences since 1984, and has been its acting member since 1997. He was a member and chair of a number of national and international, state and public committees in the sphere of science and higher education. He is Doctor Honoris Causa of Paul Babatier University in Toulouse, member of a number of associations, bearer of national and international medals and awards. Acad. Nikolov has delivered lectures in many universities, among which are these in Toulouse, Dijon, Grenoble, Paris (France), Moscow, Saint Petersburg (Russia), Athens (Greece), Tubingen (Germany), Wellington (New Zeland), etc. His publicatios are more than 270.
