3 medals from the Competition in Biology - a silver and two bronze - were won by the Bulgarian students in the international competition in Taiwan.
Mira Nencheva and Georgi Magaranov, National High School of Mathematics and Science, Sofia, Elizar Tzvetkov, Language School, Plovdiv, and Petar Iliev, national champion and students at the High School of Mathematics and Science, Kazanluk, won the prizes in a competition with 227 participants from 58 countries.
Leaders of the team are Assoc. Prof. Snezhana Tomova, Faculty of Biology, Sofia University, and Assist. Prof. Albena Yordanova, Institute of Bio-physics and biomedical research and a part-time lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Biology, Sofia University.
