A year earlier, some of the most important principles of the Bulgarian education had been introduced to the Regulations of the High School: autonomy and education freedom. Ruled by these two principles, the University selects and develops the specialist staff, develops lecturing in a variety of Departments, offers diversity of courses to the students, as well as opportunities for teaching in different Faculties. The structure of the courses change from high school ones to university ones. The term of education is prolonged from 3 to 4 years. Students of the University start going abroad to attend courses in other European universities.
