International Relations Office is developing and coordinating the international relations and activities of Sofia University. This involves providing support and feedback to the University management on international issues and developing international agreements for the University.

The IRO is responsible for:

  • implementation of the Internationalization Strategy;
  • initiation, preparation and evaluation of agreements with international partner universities;
  • administration and promotion of the Erasmus+ Programme;
  • international visits.

 

Acting as an Erasmus office at central University level, the IRO develops and submits mobility E+ projects Key Action 1 to the National Agency. It is responsible for the overall implementation and reporting of the approved projects for mobility. Erasmus services provided:

  • administration and promotion of student and staff mobility;
  • maintaining an updated information on the Erasmus website/Facebook profile for outgoing and incoming students;
  • organization of information meetings for outgoing students and orientation activities for incoming students;
  • selection procedures for student and staff mobility;
  • preparation of financial agreements and other administrative papers;
  • assistance in visa issuance;
  • assistance in accommodation in the student dormitory campus;
  • administration of incoming students (enrollment in the University student system, enrollment in courses, issuance of Transcript of records and other documents for mobility).
