On August 8th, the second edition of the ESG Academy of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and BAKSOS (Bulgarian Association of CSR Specialists) ended successfully and was attended by 21 participants.
The topics which were discussed during the Academy were:
- ESG management;
- Environmental pillar of sustainability. Green and circular economy;
- Social pillar of sustainability;
- Sustainable finances;
- ESG reporting;
- Energy and climate policy;
- Climate adaptation and resilience.
ESG Academy participants shared:
“In Bulgaria, the topic is not so familiar among our customers. The idea when I signed up was to get more into the subject, to be able to develop new products, and not only from a work point of view. Subsequently, I began to get to know myself personally in the topic, which is quite interesting”.
“My participation in the Academy is my personal idea, it is not tied to my employer. My personal path in ESG started from the narrow path of regulatory non-compliance, and I call it “narrow” for a reason. I am very grateful and excited about the training because I was able to walk through the path and expand it for myself personally with the much larger topic of how as a society, not just as an economy, we create value, how we produce goods, what their importance is for long-term success”.
“I’m thankful to the management of the bank, to you! I didn't imagine that this is how the training would turn out, I admit. I am pleased! The future is made now, it depends on the steps and the speed with which they will be taken, you just need persistence and thought in this direction. It is useful for me, I deal with corporate financing, based on all kinds of regulations we make products in this direction and we will continue to be more attentive to customers, in another way we are looking and we will continue to look, training in this direction”.
“I had not delved into the importance of everything you introduced us to. Along with the busy life and commitments... And when you think about how important and life-defining what we learned is!”
