"Academy for Sustainable Investments and Finance" was held in the period 21-24.02.2022 with the support of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”. The event took place with great interest and with the participation of over 90 participants, providing an opportunity to discuss the most current topics for the programming period 2021-2027. in the field of sustainable investment and finance between all stakeholders. The Academy is a joint project of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski” and“ Bulgarian Development Bank” EAD.
The topics of the first edition are relevant in the context of:
- the green transition and the need to get acquainted with the new system for classification of sustainable activities introduced by the EU;
- the new requirements of the European and national legal framework for the programming period 2021-2027. with regard to the management of European funds under shared management, with a view to the sustainability of public finances;
- the opportunities that will provide the financial instruments and programs for the programming period 2021-2027 to all stakeholders;
- good practices and lessons learned from the programming period 2014-2020

- Hristina Pendicheva, Ministry of Finance, Financial Markets Regulation Directorate;
