Neterra grabbed the interest of students from the “Business Analytics” master`s program at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University.

The company presented its NetFleet service – a GPS tracking control and analysis of moving objects platform, which Neterra`s customers use to manage their fleets. The service is extremely popular among companies that own fleets.

Netflight provides not only up-to-date and reliable information about the exact location of the vehicles at any given time, but it also enables them to track nearly 50 more metrics in real-time online. These include the level and fuel consumption, direction of travel, altitude, engine speed, acceleration, seat belts, speed restrictions, lights, when and how brakes are used and so on.

In compliance with the recently concluded cooperation agreement between Neterra and Sofia University, two NetFleet representatives - Marian Rangelov and Martin Haylezov, explained to the "Modeling large data in business and finance" masters students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, how the platform works. They provided them with over 4 gigabytes of anonymous telemetry data generated by the NetFleet platform. Finally, they presented the future graduates with a complex but very interesting intellectual challenge - to suggest, at the end of a four-week period, analytical summaries and metrics related to a real business case that would make it easier for NetFleet users to make management decisions regarding their fleets.

At the end of the presentation the students demonstrated that they were extremely well prepared. They asked difficult and very original questions, so a lively discussion followed. There were also students who expressed an interest in developing a Master's thesis on a case study related to Neterra's activities and the NetFleet service.
