Alexandra Angelova, Data Engineer in the BI, AI and Data Services team in Schwarz IT Bulgaria will hold an invited talk on the topic „Enterprise Tools for Big Data (and where to get them free)“ for the students in the MSc program „AI for Business and Finance”.

Alexandra will answer the following questions:

• What is a big data platform?
• How have big data platform technologies evolved over time?
• What are the differences between on-premise and cloud solutions?
• What enterprise tools and processes are used in the big data world?

Alexandra will further share get hands-on experience with Google Colab – a free Jupyter-based notebook environment which is especially well suited to machine learning, data analysis and education.

For the past 3 years Alexandra has worked with various big data platforms and tools – both on-premise and in the cloud and has served as a Platform Owner for the on-premise Hadoop cluster for Kaufland data. She will share her experience with the different tools used in an enterprise big data environment and will demonstrate how to use Google Colab to take advantage of its potential for big data use cases.
