The team of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" won first place in the prestigious international business ethics competition European Ethics Bowl.

In the period November 17-19, 2023, the semi-finals and the final of the fourth edition of the international competition for students European Ethics Bowl, organized together with the European Investment Bank, were held in Ljubljana. Students from leading universities in France, Germany, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Serbia and Bulgaria took part in the competition.

Bulgaria participated with its own team - students from FEBA: Maria Hristova and Emiliyan Andreev, 2nd-year students in "Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications" bachelor's program, as well as Ziad Huseini, a student in the "International Financial Management" master's program, and their mentor - Assoc. Prof. Iya Petkova.

A member of the international jury in the contested competition was Assoc. Prof. Ivan Angelov, Vice-Dean “MBA Programmes and Executive Education” in FEBA.

For two days, students debated ethical dilemmas and the challenges facing business. The Bulgarian team qualified for the final and won first place, defeating the team from Portugal (ISCTE Business School). The final of the competition was held in the auditorium of the Business Faculty of the University of Ljubljana.

During the competition, various ideas and arguments were discussed in the context of business ethics. The participants adhered to the highest ethical standards and showed respect for different opinions and positions.
