On September 19 and 20, 2023 the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity (APSTE), the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the "Útilities" magazine organized the fifth edition of the training course "Good practices in the construction of photovoltaic plants". Earlier in 2022 and 2023 four more editions of the same training were held, with over 300 professionals from the industry participating.

The event was opened by Marijana Yaneva, Director of Politics, APSTE, and by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev. Lecturers in training were Marijana Yaneva, Director of Politics, APSTE; Valentin Gospodinov, Director for Bulgaria, Sunotec; Dimitar Dimitrov, Renewable Energy Insurance Broker; Dimitar Cekov, Technical Director, Renergy; Asen Asenov, Eneri; Kristian Mitov, xFigure Finance; Roza Ivanova, xFigure Finance; Stefana Cekova, lawyer, Schoenherr. The training is part of the initiatives related to the Master's program "Energy Markets and Services" at FEBA.

The course is based on SolarPower Europe's “Guide to Best Practices in the Design, Procurement and Construction of Photovoltaic Power Plants”, which APSTE translated, supplementing it with guidelines from the experience of Bulgarian companies – members of APSTE, both local and international markets.

All participants received certificates for their participation from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev at the end of the second day.

Due to the great interest in the previous editions, the organizers are planning further trainings in 2024.
