The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) and the Faculty of Physics of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" announce admission to the new master's program in English - "Nuclear Technologies, Management, and Innovations", created jointly by lecturers in both faculties and by key practitioners in the industry.

The program is in a part-time module format entirely in English, with a duration of 4 semesters, in direction 3.7 "Administration and management" and is suitable for both technical professionals and graduates of other specialties.

There is going to be an official visit by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the completion of the accreditation procedure within the framework of the International Nuclear Management Academy (INMA) initiative. The programs included in the INMA initiative are aimed at current and future managers working in the nuclear energy sector and for non-energy applications. INMA is part of the nuclear knowledge management activities of the IAEA Department of Nuclear Energy.

The study documentation of the new program was accepted by the Academic Council of Sofia University on November 29, 2023. Admission starts on December 1, 2023, on the page of FEBA.

The new program was initiated by a team from FEBA and the Faculty of Physics of Sofia University and is the result of several years of preparation, including preliminary visits by the IAEA to Sofia University, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency and the city of Kozloduy.

The launch of the new program also coincides with the 60th anniversary of the existence of the Faculty of Physics as an independent unit in Alma Mater.

The team that prepared the new program includes the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, the Dean of the Faculty of Physics Prof. Georgi Rainovski and Assoc. Prof. Plamen Petkov from the Department of "General Physics" in the Faculty of Physics, as well as several full-time and part-time teachers who prepared programs for individual disciplines and participated in discussions with partner organizations.
