From the beginning of October 2023 and on the eve of the 121st anniversary of its establishment, the team of the oldest economic department in Bulgaria - the "Economics" department of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration - is increased by three more colleagues.
Chief Assist. Prof. Rositsa Zlatinska, PhD, is a lecturer in "Economic History" and "Historical and Economic Development and Globalization" in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration FEBA and in "Israel in the World Economy" in the Faculty of History of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski". She worked as an expert at the National Social Security Institute and in the field of public procurement and tenders. She has a PhD in Economic History from UNWE, where she graduated in "Financial Control". Her scientific interests are related to research on the agrarian policy of Bulgaria from a historical perspective.
Assist. Prof. Iliya Lingorski is a lecturer in "Financial Institutions and Markets", "International Financial Institutions and Development Banks" and "Money, Banks and Financial Markets" in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and in "Economics" in the Faculty of Geology and Geography. He is a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian National Bank and in his rich professional career has held various management and expert positions such as Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Governor for Bulgaria at the International Monetary Fund, Chief Economist and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank, member of the Management Board of the Investment Fund „Three Seas Initiative“, and many others. He specialized at the University of Oxford, UK, and Grenoble, France, and is currently a PhD student in the “Economics and Economic Policy” PhD Program at the Department of Economics. His scientific interests are related to the study of international financial markets, sustainable economic development, the processes of economic convergence in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and the applications of artificial intelligence systems.
Assist. Prof. Radostina Ivcheva is a lecturer of introductory courses in general economic theory, labor economics, and human capital economics in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and other faculties of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski". She is an expert at the Institute for Social and Trade Union Studies at the CITUB. She has experience as an intern in various structures of the state administration in Bulgaria. She graduated with a specialization in "International Relations" at the Faculty of Law of the University of “St. Kliment Ohridski", a master's degree in "Economics and Law" from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and is currently a PhD student in the PhD program "Economics and Economic Policy" at the Department of Economics. Her scientific interests are related to the study of processes in the field of the hidden economy and informal employment in Bulgaria and the EU.
