BioExcel Workshop Balkan Edition took place on May 21–22, 2025

The Balkan Edition of the BioExcel Workshops organized as part of the Ambassador programme took place on May 21–22, 2025 in hybrid format – with attendants on-site at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria and online.

The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy welcomed the participants in the sixth competition ScienceMeUp in 2025

On May 17, 2025 the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy was a co-host of the third final round of the VI remote competition ScienceMeUp. The competition is an annual initiative of the organization Science Me Up (University for kids) in partnership with Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. This year it took place in the period April 12 – May 18, 2025.

Diploma awarding ceremony of the graduates 2024 of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”

The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy graduates of 2024 received their diplomas at an official ceremony on April 8, 2025 in the Aula of Sofia University. The diplomas of 112 Masters and 44 Bachelors, among them the first English-speaking Master of Pharmacy from Sofia University, were awarded in the presence of state representatives, academics and guests. 49 were the graduates with excellent grades and 7 of them with full honors.

Call for Applications: BioExcel Workshop Balkan Edition

BioExcel, with the support of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Faculty of Physics), the DISCOVERER Supercomputer, the University Babeş-Bolyai, Cluj, Romania, the University Donja Gorica, Montenegro, the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Pharmacy), Serbia and the National Competence Centres from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Montenegro, organizes the BioExcel Workshop Balkan Edition, a two-day hybrid event designed to inspire and empower early-stage researchers passionate about biomolecular modeling and simulation.
