SGIP 2019 is focused on the following thematic areas:

  • Human genetics
  • Plant genetics
  • Animal genetics
  • Bacterial genetics
  • Molecular genetics
  • Molecular cloning and transgenesis
  • Plant biochemistry and physiology

During SGIP 2019, a scientific session on Plant Physiology and Biochemistry has been also planned.

The Third SGIP will take place in the building of the Faculty of Biology of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", 8 Dragan Tsankov Blvd., located in the center of Sofia, on a convenient and communicative location (near the Sofia metro and more than 15 public transport lines) and close to the Borisova garden. The previous year, SGIP 2018 (October 3-5, 2018) hosted researchers from 8 countries, which participated individually or as co-authors and performed 49 oral and poster presentations authored by more than 180 authors in total.

We kindly invite you to participate and present unpublished research studies and results as oral or poster presentations. The official language of the seminar is English. The deadline for registration and abstract submission is 26 September, 2019.

The Scientific Committee of SGIP 2019 will reward the best oral presentations with best paper prizes and the best poster presentations with best poster prizes. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Full text publication of the presented materials is not obligatory, however if the authors wish to publish them as a full text, an opportunity is provided for publication in the Journal “Genetics and Plant Physiology” after being reviewed by the journal’s Editorial board. Please, check HERE the Journal’s requirements for the preparation of the publication. All materials should be sent to the organizers at the email address sgip@biofac.uni-sofia.bg. Authors bear full responsibility of the content of their publications. Full text materials for publication will be accepted only in English.
