The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team are at the forefront of strategic decision making providing impactful analysis and insight for senior leaders. Finance Coordinator (FP&A)

This role will form a key part in the reporting of the commercial performance across specific business lines. The authorization reporting is used both internally and externally to represent the movement in our book of work identifying studies that have been awarded to PPD as well as the revenue recognized against these awards. You will be required to make sure that these reported figures reflect commercial reality.

Key relationships will be built with the operations finance as well as the corporate FP&A and commercial operations teams. For the right person this will be a great opportunity to progress.

Key tasks include:

  • Month end financial reporting tasks
  • Investigation of financial data movements on specific studies
  • Working with project teams to ensure that financial data represent commercial reality
  • Ensure that the commercial teams are kept up to date with financial targets
  • Outside of month end focus will be on process enhancements that can be implemented to improve the speed and quality of month end reporting.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Good Excel/System skills
  • Able to sort through large amounts of data and identify those that require further investigation and remediation
  • Good communication skills are required with the ability to talk through issues with others, draw out appropriate conclusions and action solutions.
  • An organised approach is required to ensure that multiple issues can all be progressed, tracked and resolved.
  • Also need to work well with others so that work is not duplicated or missed.
  • Knowledge of the CRO industry and the life cycle of a clinical trial would be an advantage.
