Position
  • Title: Administrative Management Assistant
  • Location: U.S. Embassy Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Salary: BGN 37,935 per year (gross)
  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Contract Type: Permanent (subject to probationary period)
Responsibilities
  • Support U.S. European Command programs, including Military-to-Military, Military-to-Civilian, and State Partnership Programs.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense and service components.
  • Provide program management, analytical, and administrative support for bilateral affairs engagements.
  • Conduct project monitoring, budgeting, and event coordination.
  • Offer expertise on Bulgarian Ministry of Defense processes and manage sensitive information securely.
  • Translate and prepare professional reports in English and Bulgarian.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of program management or analysis, including 1 year working with the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense or similar entities.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Bulgarian (spoken, written, reading).
  • Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of U.S.-Bulgarian agreements, Bulgarian government and military structures, and international relations.
  • Valid Bulgarian driver's license (minimum 5 years of experience).
