Academic positions in the Faculty of Medicine of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” are being opened under the conditions and regulations by the Higher Education Law, the Development of Academic Staff in Republic of Bulgaria Law, the Statute of Organisation and Activities of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, and the Statute of Requirements and Process of Acquisition of Scientific Degrees and Academic Positions in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Currently the number of academic staff in the Faculty of Medicine is 129.
