The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration accepts students in the following bachelor's majors:

 

1) Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications (Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications) with training in English*

Admission Grade Point Average

* with an internationally recognized certificate - Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) of the International Professional Organization "The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales"

* seven scholarship candidates to take the exam for the first level of the CFA certificate for free on an annual basis - partner is the CFA Institute

 

2) Economy and Finance

English and French language groups**

** Admission quotas for students with each of the three languages are separate and independent

 

Mandatory requirements for allowing candidates to participate in the ranking for the majors Accounting, Finance and Digital Applications with English language instruction; Economics and Finance and Business Administration:

Option 1

successfully passed state matriculation examination (DZI) in English, German or French

Option 2

foreign language certificate at minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

Eligible certificates for Option 3:

For English:

- Cambridge English - Proficiency (CPE), Advanced (CAE), First (FCE); IELTS; Oxford Test of English; TOEFL IBT with score above 80 points; TOEFL CBT with score above 200 points;

For German:

- Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) - Stufe II; DSH, DaF

For French:

- DELF / DALF

or

certificates issued by the Department of Language and Specialized Education of the Sofia University "St. Cl. Ohridski" (for English, German or French) for proficiency level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

 

Students enter the bachelor's majors with an entrance exam in:

Option 1

Exam in Mathematics I or in Mathematics II (coefficient 3x in the admission grade point average)

Option 2

Grades of the state matriculation exam with a coefficient of 3x in the admission grade point average in:

- Mathematics

- Geography and economics

- Specialization subject - informatics, information technologies or entrepreneurship

OR

Results of a state matriculation exam with a coefficient of 2x in the admission grade point average in: in:

- Bulgarian language and literature

- English

- German

- French

- History and Civilization

- Physics and Astronomy

- Chemistry and environmental protection

Submission of documents and important deadlines!

The educational and qualification degree "bachelor" is obtained after 4 years of study.

 

Double degrees and partnerships with Western universities

Students admitted to the major Economics and Finance (French program) and the major Business Administration (French program) can also apply for a second degree from the Universite de Lille or from the Universite de Poitiers.

Students admitted with German are included in the program of the existing consortium between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University and the universities of Cologne, Leipzig, Saarbrücken and Erlangen-Nuremberg. Within the framework of this collaboration, a number of subjects from the Business Administration curriculum are taught in German by visiting professors from the listed universities.
