On January 18, 2023, Mr. Yonko Chuklev, graduate lawyer and financial analyst, gave a guest lecture on “Mergers and Acquisitions” to the students of the “Economics and Finances in English” and “Business Administration in English and German” programs within the discipline “Corporate Finance”.
In his lecture, he analyzed the strategy for acquisitions of the publicly traded company “Smart Organic” AD and the main concepts in M&A through the prism of practice.
In a combination of practical and theoretical part, Mr. Chuklev presented the students with the following aspects of mergers and acquisitions:
- The structure of transactions in mergers and acquisitions;
- The reasons why companies enter the M&A market;
- Synergies, opportunities for corporate growth and generation of additional value as a result of mergers and acquisitions;
- Methods of valuation of companies in transactions.
