In front of an audience of students from the Master’s programs “Economics and Finance”, “Economics and Law”, and “Finance and Banking” within the course “Financial Institutions and Markets”, financial expert Mr. Yonko Chuklev analyzed the main pillars of the capital market in Bulgaria.
Among these were free float, liquidity, as well as market capitalization and indices. Mr. Chuklev examined the structure of the leading SOFIX index and how the performance of the largest publicly listed companies reflects the state of the Bulgarian economy. As key drivers for future development, he highlighted the success of the market for small and medium-sized enterprises (BEAM), the digitalization of the investment process, as well as the growth of Bulgarian high-tech companies.
