Following five successful editions that brought together hundreds of young people, dozens of experts and leading organizations, the career orientation week “Career in ESG” continues to build a community of future leaders in sustainable management. From 19 to 23 October 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” will host the sixth edition of the initiative, dedicated to professional development in the fields of ESG, corporate sustainability and responsible management.
Organized by the teams behind the master’s programmes “Responsible and Sustainable Governance” and “Accounting and Sustainability”, the initiative brings together representatives of the business community, the public sector and academia to present the latest trends, best practices and career opportunities in the field of sustainable development.
Over the past five years, “Career in ESG” has established itself as one of the most recognizable university initiatives in the field of sustainability. More than 75 speakers have shared their professional experience, over 320 students and school pupils have taken part in the discussions, and nearly 50 organizations have presented opportunities for professional development and career realization. Participants have also had the opportunity to explore 20 specialized ESG software solutions and subsequently visit 10 companies, where they saw how the principles of sustainable management are applied in practice.
This year, the programme will once again offer meetings with leading experts, thematic discussions and demonstrations of digital ESG solutions showcasing the latest approaches to sustainable management.

The event is aimed at students enrolled in the programmes “Climate Change and Management”, “International Trade and Investment”, “Responsible and Sustainable Governance” and “Accounting and Sustainability”, as well as students from partner schools: the National High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the National High School of Finance and Economics and the National Trade and Banking High School.
“Career in ESG” provides an opportunity to meet professionals, exchange ideas and practical experience, and build valuable connections between young specialists and the organizations shaping the future of sustainable management. The sixth edition will continue to encourage active dialogue between academia and practice, placing knowledge, innovation and the people driving the ESG transformation at the centre of the initiative.
