The project “Gamification in Education and the Workplace”, led by Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Neviana Krasteva, has been successfully completed, achieving outstanding scientific results.
The project was implemented in the period 12 February 2024 – 31 March 2026, with a total budget of BGN 45,819 under the SUMMIT program (Contract No. 70-123-190). Its main objective was to explore the application of gamification in education and the business environment, with a focus on innovation and knowledge transfer.
The project achieved results that significantly exceeded its initial targets. While only 2 publications indexed in Web of Science were planned, the research team produced a total of 12 such publications, 6 of which are already indexed in the established database (including journal articles and conference papers).
The project team included Prof. D.Sc. Tsvetan Davidkov, Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Sonia Mileva-Bozhanova (during the first stage), Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Aleksey Potebnya, as well as international scholars Prof. Veneta Zuleta and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nora Madzhar. PhD students Rumen Petkov, Silvia Toneva, and other doctoral candidates and early-career researchers also took active part, contributing through co-authored and independent publications, as well as participation in scientific forums, workshops, and conferences. This highlights the project’s significant contribution both to scientific output and to the development of young researchers.
The achieved results reinforce the role of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration as a leading center for research in the field of gamification, innovation in education, and their application in business.
