The Master’s programmes “Accounting and Audit” (3 semesters) and “Accounting and Audit” (4 semesters) at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, have successfully renewed their international accreditation by ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
According to the official certificate, the accreditation is valid for the period 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2031.
Of particular significance is the fact that the programmes are accredited for 9 modules – the maximum number of exemptions available at university level within the ACCA qualification framework. This distinction places the Faculty’s programmes among the leading academic programmes in the region in terms of professional recognition and alignment with international standards.
The renewal of the accreditation confirms the high quality of education, the alignment of the curricula with the requirements of the global professional community, and the Faculty’s sustained commitment to preparing competitive professionals in the fields of accounting, auditing, and financial management.
ACCA accreditation provides students with the opportunity to obtain exemptions from selected modules within the ACCA professional qualification, giving them a significant advantage in building an international career.
This recognition is the result of the consistent efforts of the Faculty management, the strategic development of the programmes, and active cooperation with international professional organisations.
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration continues to strengthen its position as a leading regional centre for education in accounting, auditing, sustainability, and corporate governance.
