The FEB Foundation has secured funding to implement the project “Youth Assemblies for a Sustainable Future”, financed under the Civic Engagement and Transparency Facility (CETF), within the “Civic Empowerment and Engagement” scheme. The project is aimed at fostering more active participation of young people in decision-making processes and the sustainable development of Bulgarian municipalities.
The project will be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Executive Director of the Foundation, with Magdalena Marteva participating as Project Manager.
Over a period of 18 months, the project activities will engage young people from Gotse Delchev and Vidin, who will develop ideas and recommendations for the future of their communities. The results will be presented to local authorities, including during a final event in Tsarevo.
The project is implemented in partnership with Business Incubator – Gotse Delchev, the Center for Entrepreneurship Support, the “Active Society” Association (Vidin), and Pro Futuris, Schweizerische Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft SGG (Switzerland), and also includes an international exchange component. The project also includes the creation of visual content to be presented to a wide audience.
The initiative aims to build a sustainable network of young leaders and to strengthen the connection between citizens and institutions toward more sustainable development.
