Todor Plugchiev, Head of the Strategic Planning Department at Postbank, presented the topic "Myths vs. Reality about the Euro Adoption" during a special discussion held for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, organized in collaboration with the Faculty and its Alumni Club.

The event, part of the strategic partnership between the two leading institutions in education and the banking sector, took place at Postbank’s headquarters in July. It brought together students, alumni, and business representatives for an open dialogue on the future of the euro in Bulgaria, the economic benefits and challenges, and the role of young professionals in the banking and financial sectors.

The guest speaker was Todor Plugchiev, an alumnus of the Faculty, who delivered an in-depth analysis and a practical perspective on the topic, joined by Martin Stanoev from the Human Resources team, who moderated the discussion. Drawing from his expertise, Plugchiev addressed numerous questions raised by students regarding the economic impact of euro adoption in Bulgaria, and tackled common myths and misconceptions surrounding the issue.

“It was a real pleasure to meet the talented students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. They demonstrated great interest, competence, and understanding of the topic. I look forward to future opportunities to engage in such meaningful discussions”, said Plugchiev.

Gabriela Pashkunova, a Faculty alumna and Business Development Website Expert at Postbank, also participated and shared highlights from her career journey at the company:

“I took my first professional steps while still in my second year of the bachelor’s program in Business Administration. I truly value the opportunity to build upon my academic knowledge through hands-on experience. Currently, I’m developing my skills in a field that inspires me — digital marketing and website development”, she noted.

This event stands as another testament to the strong synergy between academia and the business world, as well as the commitment of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and strategic partners like Postbank to support the professional growth of students and graduates.
