The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and UBB (part of KBC Group) successfully completed the seventh edition of the certification program for sustainable management specialists – “KBC Bulgaria – ESG Academy”.
Participants in the program received their certificates from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Director of the Master’s Program in “Responsible and Sustainable Governance” at FEBA and Director of the ESG Academy, and from Mr. Alexander Peev, General Manager “Corporate and Social Responsibility” at UBB.
Launched in 2021, the Academy is an example of a successful partnership between business and academia. Over the course of four years, more than 200 employees from all KBC companies in Bulgaria have completed the training, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in the field of ESG management.
“We are proud that the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is a pioneer in sustainability education and that, through our partnership with KBC Group and UBB, we are creating real opportunities for preparing financial specialists ready to meet the challenges of the transition of Bulgarian enterprises to a carbon-neutral economy”, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova.
