On March 7, 2025, the eighth edition of the ESG Academy successfully launched. The academy is a joint initiative between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the Association of Sustainability Professionals.

The opening session featured the module "ESG Approach in Management", and participants were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova.

"Knowledge and skills in sustainability are especially necessary in times of uncertainty and a lack of a shared and clear direction for development. Thank you for your trust in our academy, and I am confident that our lecturers will be a source of knowledge, professional experience, and inspiration for your future work", she shared.

Registration is Still Open for the Remaining Seven Modules

For the first time this year, a new module "Auditing" will be introduced. The training will be structured as follows:

  • Module 2: "Green and Circular Economy" – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesela Petrova – March 14
  • Module 3: "Social Pillar of Sustainability" – Zornitsa Rusinova – March 21
  • Module 4: "Climate Adaptation and Resilience" – Apostol Dyankov – March 28
  • Module 5: "Energy and Climate Policy" – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev – April 4
  • Module 6: "ESG Reporting" – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova – April 11
  • Module 7: "Business and Human Rights" – Olya Peneva – April 25
  • Module 8: "Sustainable Finance" – Iliyana Lazarova – May 9
  • Module 9: "Auditing" – Marina Bogdanova and Milka Damyanova – May 16
