The first session of the doctoral seminar for the 2024/2025 academic year, organized by the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", took place on October 29, 2024.

Held in Room 320, the seminar gathered PhD candidates and faculty members interested in the latest research in management and business administration. The presentations in this initial session covered the following topics:

  • “Strategies for Digital Transformation in Organizations” presented by Simeon Lazarov. This research explores the connection between digital transformation and factors influencing international investment and turnover. Key aspects of the methodology used in the dissertation were shared (presentation and discussion in Bulgarian).

  • “Blockchain in the Real Estate Sector” presented by Christo Kasarov. This presentation examined blockchain technology as a solution to improve security, transparency, and liquidity in real estate through property registries, tokenization, and automated transactions. The barriers to implementation, including technical and regulatory challenges, as well as organizational resistance, were discussed (presentation and discussion in English).

Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and receive feedback on their progress.

The seminar is part of the regular program of the Department of Business Administration and will be held monthly throughout the academic year, offering all doctoral candidates the chance to present their research and engage in scholarly discussions.
