For another consecutive year, outstanding students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” will have the opportunity to take part in the Summer School of the EIB Group (which includes the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund). The Summer School is an educational programme organised by the EIB Institute and is aimed at master’s degree students, with the following objectives:

  • to provide students with first-hand knowledge of the core activities and responsibilities of the EIB Group;
  • to expand and strengthen the network of EIB Summer School alumni, bringing together current and future EIB stakeholders and the future “builders” of Europe.

Participants in the Summer School attend lectures, take part in group discussions, and work on case studies, enabling them to gain an in-depth understanding of the mission and impact of the EIB Group and how it addresses the challenges facing the European Union. Upon completion of the programme, participants receive a certificate issued by the EIB Institute and are entitled to take part in all activities of the EIB Summer School Alumni Programme.

The programme includes an online preparatory phase, as well as in-person sessions in Luxembourg, which will take place at the end of June.

Students wishing to participate in the Summer School must complete the EIB Summer School application form by 16 March 2026. The EIB Group Summer School is conducted in English.

EIB Summer School 2026 - Shaping Europe’s future

  • June 22 –26, 2026 online
  • June 27 –July 4, 2026 in Luxembourg

The European Investment Bank Summer School invites a group of 80 Master’s students to join an online and onsite programme delivering first-hand information about the activities of the EU Climate Bank and its role in the implementation of the European Green Deal. The academic programme includes online sessions, plenary lectures and technical seminars with four tracks focusing on either the financial, political, technical or developmental aspects of EIB activities. The pedagogic approach focusses on interaction, discussion, and engagement with the faculty and each other.

“It was an amazing opportunity to learn a lot (really a lot!), about the EIB and EIF and to be a part of and interact with an international group full of like-minded people. Additionally, meeting the most knowledgeable professionals in the respective areas as lecturers and seeing how the EIB is contributing to creating a better world was truly fascinating" - Dimana (Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and Alumna of the 2024 EIB Summer School).
