On 11 July 2026, nineteen students successfully defended their master's theses and graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". They completed Bulgaria's only MBA programmes accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). Thesis defences were held in the Business Administration – Strategic Management, Business Administration – Management Information Systems, and Business Administration – Human Resource Management programmes, which are among the Faculty's internationally recognised academic programmes.
This year's graduating class once again demonstrated the growing international appeal of the Faculty's MBA programmes. Among the graduates were students from Qatar, Iran, and the Republic of Korea, further confirming the programmes' reputation as a preferred choice for students seeking a high-quality international academic environment.
The master's theses reflected both academic excellence and a strong practical orientation, addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing modern business. Research topics included the application of generative artificial intelligence in business, workflow automation, strategic entrepreneurship, technology transfer and innovation commercialisation, international competitiveness, and other contemporary management issues. Many of the projects proposed practical solutions to real-world organisational and managerial challenges.
The Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation is one of the most prestigious distinctions in global business education. It is awarded only to a select number of MBA programmes that meet the highest international standards in academic quality, curriculum design, practical relevance, and engagement with the business community. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University remains the only higher education institution in Bulgaria offering AMBA-accredited MBA programmes.
The successful completion of the thesis defences is further evidence of the Faculty's commitment to educating leaders and managers with a global perspective, strategic thinking, and the competencies required to lead organisations in today's dynamic and increasingly interconnected business environment.
