"Women and Their Access to Climate Finance" was the key topic of the study visit of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova during her exchange visit to Baku State University in mid-March 2025. During the meeting, she delivered a lecture on the same topic to undergraduate students in the Business Management program.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Stefanova met with Prof. Mustafa Huseyn Hasanov, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs, who presented the university's future development plans for the regions between the Caucasus and the Black Sea.
Together with Mrs. Afet Alakbarova, Director of the Department of International Partnerships and Relations, specific initiatives between the two institutions for the period 2025-2026 were outlined. This visit took place as part of the joint cooperation agreement signed at the end of 2024 between Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
Topics of mutual interest have been identified in several key areas:
- Climate Change and Governance
- Social Business
- Scientific Exchange and the Establishment of Joint Specialized Academies
The official launch of joint activities was marked in December 2024, when a UNEC delegation visited the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration to discuss ongoing and future cooperation projects, exchange ideas, and deepen academic and cultural ties between the institutions. The delegation was led by Prof. Maraga Ahmadov, Dean of the Faculty of Business Management.
