The telecommunications company Neterra has signed an agreement with the oldest higher education institution in the country – Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Neterra will provide anonymous telemetry data from the platform for tracking moving objects, NetFleet, to the MA students of the “Modelling Large Data in Business and Finance” program at FEBA. The aim is that the students should make suggestions for analytical reports and metrics to make it easier for Netfleet users to make decisions about automobile fleet management.

“The students really need to apply their knowledge in the solving of real business cases. We are happy that a company like Neterra has offered to take part in the program. Work with the real challenges that business faces is the best training for the job market” says Assoc. Prof. Boryana Bogdanova who teaches within the “Modelling Large Data in Business and Finance” program at FEBA.

“At Neterra we are constantly looking for innovative solutions and ideas. In light of this, we believe that collaboration with Sofia University would be beneficial for both parties. The students will become aware of the real needs that companies have, while we will receive ideas from people whose minds perceive things from different, new perspectives” adds Martin Haylezov, Netfleet product manager.

The MA “Modelling Large Data in Business and Finance (Business Analytics)” program aims to train specialists with up-to-date knowledge and skills, adaptable to fast-changing realities, professionals who have theoretical expertise, practical skills and competences that enable them to work individually or as part of teams for doing analytical research on large aggregates of data in different application areas.
