The third edition of the Congress of Young Francophones (3ème Congrès de la jeunesse estudiantine francophone) took place in Toulouse, France, between October 13-15, 2024. The event, organized by the University Agency for Francophonie – AUF, brought together young people from around the world to unite their perspectives on issues related to the future of education. The conference was also part of the World Scientific Francophonie Week (Semaine mondiale de la Francophonie scientifique).
After three intense days of exchanges and debates, more than 100 students from 50 countries shared their ideas on what the “School of Tomorrow” (L'école de demain) should look like. Thanks to AUF Bulgaria, our country was represented by Iveta Dimitrova from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University, a student in the Master's program “Finance, Investments and Fintech” and an adjunct lecturer in the faculty’s French programs.
The ultimate goal of the congress was the successful drafting of the Toulouse Declaration – a collective text reflecting the expectations and ambitions of young people for the future of education. The document was read during the closing ceremony of the congress before an audience of rectors and professors from universities participating in the World Francophonie Week.
