The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is once again taking part as a coordinator in the prestigious European initiative Empowering Equity Academy (EEA) 2026, organised by the EIB Institute in collaboration with the European Investment Fund (EIF). The Academy offers a unique opportunity for students in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and sustainable development programmes to gain first-hand insight into the world of investments, venture capital, private equity, and sustainable finance.

When will it take place?

Online module: 7 – 11 September 2026
On-site module in Luxembourg: 16 – 22 September 2026

What are the benefits for participants?

  • Access to knowledge and practical experience from leading European experts in investment and finance;

Financial conditions

  • Participation in the Academy is free of charge.
  • Accommodation and meals during the on-site part in Luxembourg are covered by the organisers.
  • Travel costs are initially paid by participants and reimbursed after the completion of the Academy.

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Master’s programme;
  • Must have an academic background in STEM or sustainable development;
  • Must be under 30 years of age at the time of application;
  • Must be a citizen of a European Union Member State.
