On October 28, Prof. Jacques Malherbe, Professor Emeritus of the University of Leuven and member of its CRIDES Research centre delivered a lecture titled „Mergers and acquisitions and the latest EU directives including DAC 6“ at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University.

Prof. Malherbe is guest at the Faculty on the invitation of Assist. Prof. D-r Savina Goleminova, academic from the Faculty of Law at SU.

 

Jacques Malherbe, J.D., University of Louvain, LL.M., Harvard University, is author and co-author of many publications and research studies in the sphere of tax and corporate law. He is Professor emeritus of the University of Leuven (UCL) and member of its CRIDES Research centre. He has lectured at the universities of Bologna, Hamburg and Bucharest. He is a corresponding member of the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación of Madrid, Doctor Honoris Causa of the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos of Lima, Peru. He is also consultant for “Simont Braun” (Brussels). Former Vice-President of the International Fiscal Association’s Permanent Scientific Committee, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Fluent in French, Dutch, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
