On March 6, an official online graduation ceremony was held for the first graduating class of the international ESG Academy of UniCredit Bulbank employees. All 40 participants, who are part of different structures and levels within the organization, were successfully certified.

ESG Academy is the first national certification program for training specialists in sustainable management. The Academy is part of the bank's specially developed "ESG Learning Journey" program, which also includes the partnership between "UniCredit Bulbank" and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" regarding the first jointly implemented master's program "Responsible and Sustainable "Governance (RSG) of the University.

Ivan Tardivo - Head of the People and Culture Department for Central and Eastern Europe (CE&EE) at "UniCredit Bulbank" says that the criteria for managing the social, environmental and organizational aspects of the activity (ESG) are a key pillar for the company's development and "therefore as part of UniCredit University CE&EE, we decided to undergo this certification path together with Sofia University and to create specific and deeper professional knowledge on ESG in the organization."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev - Dean of FEBA stated that “The Faculty and its ESG Lab is proud to be an academic partner of UniCredit Group for its sustainability education program. Our ESG Academy in English language for [the master’s program] RSG, which builds on our experience with the editions in Bulgarian and English for the Unicredit Bulbank, is a pioneering executive education initiative in Southeast Europe. Here we must also note the ESG’s Lab energy and creativity – Assoc.
