On 28 and 29 April 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) hosted the pilot edition of the initiative “Law for Young Entrepreneurs”, organized by LexStudio with the support of the Bulgarian-British Chamber of Commerce, Vienna Economic Forum, and the FEBA Alumni Club.
As part of the initiative, the first practical training course of its kind, “Law for Young Entrepreneurs: How to Build a Business Without Legal Risks”, was held. The program was designed for students, graduates, and young people interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development.
The event attracted significant interest and brought together a diverse audience, including students from FEBA, the Medical University of Varna, pupils from the Sofia High School of Mathematics, legal practitioners, students from the Faculty of Physics, and other young professionals.
The main objective of the masterclass was to develop practical legal literacy and entrepreneurial skills by integrating knowledge from the fields of law, economics, and management. Particular emphasis was placed on identifying and managing legal risks, building a regulatory culture, making informed business decisions, and creating sustainable business models.
The program covered key topics related to company establishment and registration, taxation, corporate governance, intellectual property protection, personal data protection, marketing in a regulated environment, and funding opportunities for start-ups.
The training featured established lecturers and industry experts, including Assistant Professor Dr. Nikoleta Voynova, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and specialist in intellectual property law; Attorney Nikoleta Nesheva, lawyer, tax consultant, and co-founder of LexStudio; and Viktor Goleminov, marketing expert and co-founder of the organization. Special guest speakers included Michael Tsanev from avmap.space, Deniz Turgut from PriorityZero, and Martina Grigorova from SIS Credit.
The event included four main modules: “Company Establishment and Registration”, “Taxation and Legal Obligations”, “Intellectual Property and Innovation Protection”, and the final Pitching Competition – “The Pitch Games”, Sustainability Edition.
As part of the initiative, a congratulatory address by Dr. Elena Karcheva was also presented, emphasizing the importance of legal knowledge as a key factor for the sustainable development of entrepreneurial initiatives and highlighting the role of universities as drivers of innovation and economic cooperation in the region.
During the event, the results of the GreenDigiHub project, implemented under the Erasmus+ programme (KA220-YOU), were also presented. Participants were introduced to the progress achieved across the project’s various work packages, including the development of practical guides and training resources, research on the application of artificial intelligence in business, and the creation of the digital learning platform greendigihub.eu.
The official opening was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova, academic supervisor of the course, with the participation of Adriana Branicheva, Vice-Chair and Executive Director of the FEBA Alumni Club, as well as representatives of the academic community, business sector, and partner organizations.
The “Law for Entrepreneurs” initiative lays the foundation for a new format of practical training aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial culture and developing the skills necessary for the successful implementation of sustainable business ideas in today’s economic environment.
