As part of this year’s edition of Green Transition Forum 6.0, one of the most significant forums in Europe, the FEB Foundation will participate with a series of activities included in the main program. The events focus on sustainable development, economic security, and the active involvement of young people in public discussions about the future.

  • June 3, Impact Stage, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

A panel discussion entitled “Sustainability as a Driver of Competitiveness: From Risk Management to Future Readiness and Economic Security” will take place, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Executive Director of the FEB Foundation. The discussion will feature leading experts from the fields of security, business, and academia: Maryna Saprykina, Founder and Chair of CSR Ukraine; Prof. Dr. Hristo Pimpirev, Director of the National Center for Polar Studies; Major Ralitsa Bakalova from the NATO Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence; Colonel Kostadin Lazarov, Head of the Operations Laboratory Section at the NATO Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence; and Dragomir Mateev, Vice President of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute. The participants will discuss how sustainability is becoming a strategic factor for competitiveness in the context of climate, energy, and geopolitical challenges, and how institutions and businesses can strengthen their preparedness for future crises.

  • June 4, Future Stage

As part of the Youth Green Transition Forum, starting at 5:15 PM, the interactive simulation game “2030 SDGs Game” will take place. Through practical scenarios and decision-making exercises, participants will explore the interconnections between economic development, social well-being, and environmental protection, gaining a deeper understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their significance for the future of society and business.

Immediately afterwards, from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM on the Future Stage, the “Battle of Generations” format will bring together young people and representatives of different generations and professional communities. The discussion will feature public figure and economist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Grigoriy Vazov; Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Association for Family Planning and Sexual Health; and Iliya Lingorski, Member of the Governing Council of the Bulgarian National Bank and lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The conversation will address topics such as civic engagement, trust in institutions, career choices, freedom, social change, and the prospects facing young people in Bulgaria. Questions will be posed by entrepreneurs Yoan Georgiev and Nikola Dimitrov, co-founders of EthiCitizen, a platform promoting sustainable consumption habits and responsible behavior.

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration can attend Green Transition Forum 6.0 free of charge.

The forum provides an opportunity to meet leading experts, representatives of the business community, the public sector, and international organizations that are shaping the agenda of the green and sustainable transition in Bulgaria and across Europe.
