The EU has launched a new initiative that enables young people to turn their climate ideas into projects. The Youth Climate Challenge, part of the European Climate Pact launched by the European Commission, aims to bring together young people between the ages of 15 and 30 from across Europe, enabling them to work together to create innovative ideas for climate projects. No previous experience is needed - only enthusiasm, vision and desire to build a better future. Online registration is open until September 20.
After registration, participants gain access to the Community Hub - a place where they can connect and communicate with each other. There they can join existing working groups that have already started preparing ideas or starting their own group. There is no limit to the number of project ideas to be submitted, and the best projects will be presented to Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans in the autumn.
The challenge is a great chance for young people to meet and work with like-minded people from all over Europe. At all times, young people will be able to count on the support and advice of an extensive network on all their ideas. Finally, selected participants will have the opportunity to tour the Commission.
