High-tech business center at the Sofia University EOOD (a partnership with sole owner SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”) with manager Prof. DSc. Georgi Chobanov supports the development of entrepreneurship and innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kardzhali region. The head of the Interreg Co-working project is the Innovation Zone in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the partners are the University of Thessaloniki “Aristotle”, the Bulgarian UNWE and the National Company Industrial Zones.

The first of the series of events, for which experts from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Albena Vutsova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov, were held on February 10 and 11 in the Regional Administration – Kardzhali with the partnership and participation of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC) to the Ministry of Agriculture, National Company Industrial Zones, the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Kardzhali.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration establishes itself as the main connecting link in the Bulgarian entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem as a co-organizer of important national and regional initiatives.

The international accelerator for support of new enterprises in the field of agriculture, organized by the National Center for Agricultural Sciences in partnership with FEBA, will be held in Sofia Tech Park from March 27 to April 1, 2023. The deadline for applications is March 10, 2023. The prize fund is 50,000 euro. Prof. Dr. Teodora Georgieva, head of the master’s program “Innovations and digital transformation in agribusiness” is the representative of FEBA in the jury.

The topic of the first seminar was lean management, which transformed the Toyota production system into a global methodology for developing new products and enterprises. Lachezar Dinev, who, in addition to being the chairman of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is also a serial international entrepreneur in various fields – telecommunications, construction, and agritech, and Kristiyan Mihailov from the Professional Association for Robotics and Automation also took part in the work of the seminar as speakers. They presented the Incubator for projects in the field of robotics and innovation. The incubator is extremely suitable for enterprising pupils and students, although it is also open to working people.
